According to the attendants of the meeting, Ukraine has already elaborated organization and legal principles of the State regional policy. However, current normative and legal base in the field of regional development is insufficient for provision of stable development of Ukraine and its regions, enhancement of the standard of living.
The People´s Deputies regard development of a new regional policy as a necessary prerequisite for realization of Ukraine´s national interests, creation of new possibilities for development of the country and enhancement of the standard of living.
The Committee recommends that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine secures timely elaboration, with due account taken of introduced motions and remarks, and adoption of the Draft Concept of the State Regional Policy as a basis for elaboration of the Bill on the principles of the State regional policy.
